Enriching Lives

Community is a concept that resonates throughout our academic programs, our institutional activities, and our partnerships with industry and non-profit organizations.

We invite you to learn how our campuses are bringing new energy to historic neighborhoods in Winnipeg and Portage la Prairie, how our researchers are helping companies like StandardAero and New Flyer Industries access new market opportunities, and how our partnerships with Urban Circle Training Centre and Ndinawe are enhancing child care in the inner city. Discover how Red River College alumni are contributing to the economic growth of this province - and how we are building our capacity to further invest in Manitoba's future.

RRC grads enter the workforce with in-demand skills.

Responding to Industry Needs

RRC works with industry to ensure grads enter the workforce with in-demand skills and the ability to make an immediate impact. As an example, the curriculum for our new Bachelor of Technology in Construction Management degree program, launched in 2010, was developed through extensive collaboration with a host of industry organizations. Similarly, learning outcomes for each of our 200+ full- and part-time certificate, diploma, degree, and apprenticeship programs are considered regularly by industry-based advisory groups.

Applying Knowledge, Delivering Results

Beyond educating the skilled workforce of tomorrow, Red River College also helps industry build new products and markets through our pursuit of innovative applied research partnerships.

For example, we're developing an electric bus prototype with Mitsubishi and New Flyer, testing hybrid vehicles in cold weather for Toyota, enhancing composite material manufacturing at StandardAero, exploring solar power technologies with Manitoba Hydro, and designing mobile apps for the Canadian Museum for Human Rights.

It's about finding practical, innovative solutions that deliver results.
