Red River College invites you to Open House 2012. Our goal is to help future students gather the information and knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their future. By opening our doors and letting the community meet our students and staff we want visitors to come away with a sense of awareness and confidence about their choices for the future.

Why come to Open House?

Surveys completed by post-secondary students across North America indicate a campus visit is one of the most important factors in their decision-making process. A first-hand look can help you determine your ‘fit’ within the campus and academic programs.

Explore over 110 full and part-time programs represented by our knowledgeable staff located in the North Gym at Notre Dame Campus.

Take a Campus Tour…

Campus tours of The Roblin Centre, Notre Dame and Stevenson Campuses will be available throughout the duration of this event. Don’t worry about parking, our complimentary shuttle service will take you there!

New this year…Notre Dame Campus will be offering specialized campus tours so that you can choose to tour the areas that are of most interest to you! Come to the North Gym Exhibitor Hall and choose between the following tours:

Don’t see a tour for the program you are interested in? Everyone can benefit from an RRC Community Tour but there are representatives from every program offered at RRC located in the North Gym to ensure that your questions are answered. Please also check out our Information Session schedule to see if something is offered for your program of interest.

Take a Self-Guided Tour…

If you would prefer to find your own way through RRC, please feel free to refer to the map of Notre Dame Campus in our Visitors Guide (you will receive one upon your arrival) and visit the wide variety of Open Workspaces that will be open throughout the event. List of Open Workspaces.
 

Celebrate our cultural diversity…

We are proud of our diverse Red River College community. Come and celebrate with us by checking out our Entertainment Showcase in the North Gym at Notre Dame Campus featuring a diverse variety of entertainers. Visit booths from our Diversity & Immigrant Support Department as well as Aboriginal Student Services. Join us at the Aboriginal Student Service Centre at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21 for a Talking Stick Workshop. Learn about the cultural significance, its traditional use and how to make your very own talking stick.

Get informed…

Information Sessions will be offered by many College programs. The sessions will take place in several venues, including lecture theatres, labs and classrooms. Presentations will be approximately 30 minutes in length. More information about these sessions will be in our Visitor’s Guide. Information Session Schedule

Ask us for advice…

Visitors can learn more about admissions procedures from the experts on campus! College staff will be available throughout the event to answer questions on applications, special selection criteria, awards and financial aid, and support services. Applications for 2012 programs can be completed and submitted throughout the day at the Student Service Centre which will to be open extended hours to accommodate our Open House visitors.

Parking…

There is plenty of free parking available in lots 3W, 4W at Notre Dame Campus. Parking Map
(Notre Dame Campus Free Parking is available in 3W, 4W. Please see a parking commissionaires for directions on where to park if needed)

If you start your visit at The Roblin Centre, there is paid parking available in the Civic Centre parkade located on Princess Street directly across from The Roblin Centre. Parking prices are $2.00 for each half hour or a daily rate of $12.00 per day. Street parking is also available.

Complimentary Shuttle Service

Start your journey at Notre Dame Campus or The Roblin Centre and take our complimentary shuttle service to another campus. Seating is available on a first come, first serve basis.

Unable to attend Open House 2012?

If you are not able to make it to this year’s Open House, remember that you can contact us year round to book an appointment for a Campus Tour and/or to meet with an Academic Advisor
