2012 Chinatown Banner Competition

Second year student Jessica Constable won the annual banner competition. Her banners will be displayed on the streets around the exchange district.

10th Annual Forks Market Student Art Show and Auction.

February 3, 2012

Year Graphic Design Students created original works of art using a variety of drawing and painting techniques at the Forks Market Centre Court. Work was auctioned off to the highest bidder by Jon Ljungberg. Proceeds went to Winnipeg Harvest and the Red River College Graphic Design Students’ Graduation Fund.

Secret Handshake and GDC

The GDC, New Media Manitoba and Secret Handshake meetup group are all coordinating this year to hold a Christmas party. This would be a great opportunity for students to make some new industry contacts!

Graphic Design Information Night

Graphic Design is holding an information night for students, parents and high school staff who would like more information about admission to our program. Drop by during the evening to

  • tour the facilities,
  • meet the instructors, enrollment staff and current students,
  • ask questions about the entrance portfolio and see samples of work.
