Start Strong!

Program Overview

RRC Polytech’s Student Accessibility Services and the Academic Success Centre recognizes that starting college is both exciting and challenging. To support incoming students identifying with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), we offer a free preparatory program called Start Strong.

Schedule Highlights

If you are a new student who will be taking classes during the 2024/25 school year, please join us on campus for three week-day mornings in August to experience: 

  • An overview of College computer applications and accounts (i.e., College student account, Microsoft Outlook email.
  • Study skill development for college academic success.
  • Information on how to access campus services and resources (I.e. textbooks, parking, lockers).
  • Workshops from student supporting services (I.e. Academic Success Centre, Student Accessibility Services, Student Counselling Services).
  • A campus tour.
