Guide to Complete the Transfer Credit Request Form

Before submitting the Transfer Credit Request Form, please ensure that you have followed these steps:

  • Compare and match course(s) from your previous education with RRC Polytech course(s). 
  • The original course’s curriculum must be at least an 80% match to the RRC Polytech course learning outcomes.
  • Complete the Transfer Credit Request Form with accurate personal information and all relevant information.
  • Credit granted will match the RRC Polytech course credit, partial credit will not be granted.
  • Official transcripts must be sent directly from the post-secondary institute by email transfercredit@rrc.ca or mail to RRC Polytech Attn: Transfer Credit. If mailed, it must be received in a sealed envelope.
  • Official transcript(s) submitted as part of the admission process for your program do not need to be resubmitted and may be used if issued directly from the post-secondary institution.
  • A minimum grade of ‘C’ is required for transfer credit.
    • Note: Some programs require a higher standard of proficiency for transfer credit (for example: Nursing).
  • For transfer of grades between RRC Polytech programs: Grades from RRC Polytech must meet or exceed the grade required for a pass in the program being transferred into.
  • Submit detailed, official course outlines (Syllabus)/course outcomes from the date the course was originally completed. Course outlines (Syllabus)/course outcomes should be submitted in English. If the original is not in English, you are required to submit a copy of both the original and the notarized translation.
  • Attend classes until your request(s) has been officially approved.  
  • You will be notified by email of the results of your transfer credit requests. You can also check on HUB to view updates to your student transcript. Please ensure your email address on HUB is current.
