Applied Research Tools and Instruments (ARTI) Grants are offered through the College and Community Innovation (CCI) Program, which is managed by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).
The objective of the ARTI Grants is to support the purchase of research equipment and installations to foster and enhance the capacity of colleges to undertake applied research, innovation and training in collaboration with local companies, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Applied Research and Development (ARD) Grants are offered through the College and Community Innovation (CCI) Program, which is managed by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).
These ARD Grants are intended to provide companies that operate from a Canadian base access to the unique knowledge, expertise and capabilities available at Canadian colleges and to train students in essential technical skills required by companies. Red River College forges ahead with new Innovation Centre

Winnipeg Free Press business reporter Martin Cash recently published an article about our incoming Innovation Centre, a $95 million building project currently in its design stages.
“Less than five months after Red River College initially announced plans to build a $95 million Innovation Centre just north of its Princess Street campus, site preparations for the building are already underway,” Cash wrote.

NSERC Social Innovation Fund Deadline Dec. 8

The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) have announced that, following the success of the Community and College Social Innovation Fund (CCSIF) program, the federal 2017 budget provided an additional $10 million over two years beginning in 2017-18 to continue this initiative.
The deadline for submitting applications is December 8, 2017.
