Online Education Exam Request

Students who are actively registered in an Online Education course are responsible for scheduling their own examinations, if applicable. Examinations cannot be scheduled to be written past the course end date; your course end date can be found on your registration statement or via your HUB account.

To ensure the integrity of the examinations and our student’s success, the School of Continuing Education is responsible for setting individual guidelines on assessments. The guidelines for each course balance many factors including content, type of assessment, overall value of the assessment and resource availability. Because of this, exam taking processes may vary by course, instructor and/or term.

On-Campus Examinations: If your course started September 1, 2022, or anytime thereafter, exams will be written in a supervised environment. Students who reside in Winnipeg are required to write their exams in person at the Testing and Assessment Centre located at RRC Polytech’s Exchange District Campus.

Off-Campus Examinations: Students who reside outside of Winnipeg may arrange for off-campus exam invigilation in an approved Exam Invigilation Centre.

Note: For on campus exams, students will be completing their examinations in person at our Testing and Assessment Centre located at the Exchange District Campus. RRC Polytech’s Online Education students are responsible for scheduling their on campus examination. To schedule your examination, you must complete the form below.

Exam Write Times:

Thursdays at 1:00pm CST

A $54 rescheduling fee applies to all bookings.

Exams will not be scheduled on statutory holidays.

The Online Education exam request must be submitted a minimum of two business days prior to the requested exam date. Once your exam has been scheduled and set, an email confirmation will be sent to your RRC Polytech academic email account with the exam details.

Note: Off Campus exams should only be scheduled for students living outside of Winnipeg who cannot write at RRC Polytech’s Testing and Assessment Centre.

For Off Campus exams, students will be completing their examinations in person in an approved Exam Invigilation Centre.

The Primary purpose of an exam invigilator is to ensure the integrity of an examination. As RRC Polytech Distance Education students reside in different areas of the country, we have created a directory of approved Exam Invigilation Centres within Canada. Only the Exam Invigilation Centres listed in the directory will be approved.

If you reside outside of the province of Manitoba or outside of Winnipeg city limits, please refer to the Canadian Invigilation Directory to locate an Exam Invigilation Centre in the province or territory you wish to write.
If you reside outside of Canada, please contact the Testing and Assessment Centre directly for assistance in locating an approved Exam Invigilation Centre.

It is the students’ responsibility to contact the Exam Invigilation Centre directly to arrange for invigilation services.

Examinations cannot be invigilated by other students, relatives, friends, neighbours, co-workers, immediate supervisors, or people residing in the same household.

Canadian Invigilation Directory

Most Invigilation Centres charge for invigilation services. Any costs associated with exam invigilation are the responsibility of the student.

RRC Polytech’s Online Education students are responsible for scheduling their off campus examination. Once students have confirmed arrangements with their invigilator, students must complete the form below.

The Online Education exam request must be submitted a minimum of seven business days prior to the requested exam date. Once your exam has been scheduled and set, an email confirmation will be sent to your Red River College Polytechnic academic email account with the exam details.
