Young Canada Works (YCW) is a Government of Canada-funded program for youth, aged 16-30, interested in gaining work experience in museums, heritage sites, archives, libraries or arts and cultural organizations.
There are two programs available:
- Young Canada Works in Heritage Organizations (YCWHO) is an employment program for students.
- Young Canada Works at Building Careers in Heritage (YCWBCH) is an employment program for graduates.
Young Canada Works offers program participants:
- Quality paid work experience
- Valuable Skills Development
- Networking opportunities
- Flexibility and support for youth facing barriers
YCW is committed to strengthening diversity and inclusion in youth employment. Youth belonging to equity-deserving groups are highly encouraged to apply.
There is no application deadline, but it is recommended that applicants create an account and submit their candidacy before the summer.
