Want to make a great first impression at this year’s event? These Student Prep Sessions are for you!

Participating in the First Impressions event provides students in eligible Business, Information Technology and Continuing Education programs the opportunity to meet with industry experts, learn about the different careers in their field, and possibly secure employment! A full list of eligible programs can be found here.

To help students take full advantage of this opportunity, Career Services is offering the following Student Prep Sessions.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS – EVENT OVERVIEW

Monday, October 30 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm

Wednesday, November 1 from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm

These sessions will cover the following topics:

• What is First Impressions?
• How to Participate
• Using Career Bridge
• Do’s and Don’ts

FIRST IMPRESSIONS – RESUME DEVELOPMENT AMA (Ask Me Anything)

Tuesday, November 14 from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Students are encouraged to watch the First Impressions – Resume Development video prior to attending this session. The video will be available on the Career Services Learn site on November 6.

During the AMA, students can ask specific questions related to resume development and application preparation.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS – HOW TO APPLY AMA (Ask Me Anything)

Tuesday, November 28 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm

Students are encouraged to watch the First Impressions – How To Apply video prior to attending this session. The video will be available on the Career Services Learn site on November 20.

During the AMA, students can ask specific questions related to the application process and using Career Bridge.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS – INTERVIEW PREPARATION AMA (Ask Me Anything)

Tuesday, February 6 from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Students are encouraged to watch the First Impressions – Interview Preparation video prior to attending this session. The video will be available on the Career Services Learn site on January 29.

During the AMA, students can ask specific questions related to interviews.

2. Click the blue ‘Enroll in Course’ button.
3. Navigate to Course Content > Content > Events > First Impressions – Hiring for Industry

TO REGISTER FOR PREP SESSIONS

1. Log into RRC Hub and click the Career Bridge icon
2. Click the“Events & Workshops” link on the left menu
3. From the calendar, click the session you would like to register for
4. Click the blue “Register for this event” button
