Calling all Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic and Truck Transport Technology Students!

This session will provide students with valuable insights into the current economic and technological trends within the trucking industry, offering perspectives from three key players in the field. Attendees will explore a variety of career paths and learn about cutting-edge advancements in trucking. The event will feature presentations from:

Beaver Truck Centre, an authorized dealer and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for Volvo, will highlight the latest advancements in trucking technology, including Volvo’s innovative systems and sustainable solutions. This presentation will give students a glimpse into the future of trucking technology and how these changes are shaping the industry.

Ocean Trailer, as the largest trailer supplier in Western Canada, Ocean Trailer will provide insights into the full spectrum of trailer services. Whether it’s renting, servicing, or purchasing trailers, students will gain a deep understanding of the vital role trailers play in the trucking industry and the diverse opportunities available in trailer management and supply.

BVT/Steve’s Livestock Transport will offer a unique view into the livestock transport side of the trucking industry. Students will learn about the trailer management, carrier services, and the skills required in this specialized field. This session will also highlight career opportunities in the skilled trades related to trucking, such as maintenance and repair.
