Employment Readiness Conference 2022, May 25th & 26th – Registration now open!

RRC Polytech’s Student Employment Services (SES), in collaboration with the Centre for International Education and Global Partnerships (CIEGP), Academic Success Centre (ASC), and the School of Indigenous Education (SIE), is hosting the 3rd virtual Employment Readiness Conference (ERC)!

After the challenges of the last few years, this year’s conference theme, Back to YOUR Future, will focus on the possibilities ahead for RRC Polytech’s students and alumni.

A highlight of this year’s event is Lisa Taylor, who will be partnering with us as a keynote speaker. Lisa is the President of Challenge Factory and the Centre for Career Innovation. She offers invaluable leadership and insights about the Future of Work—with a focus on how talent equity, demographics, freelance economy, and new market dynamics to gain strategic workforce and career advantage.

But wait, there’s more! The second day keynote speaker is Graham Donald, one of North America’s leading experts on attracting, recruiting, and engaging students and graduates. He founded Brainstorm Strategy Group Inc. in 2003 to focus on improving students’ school-to-work transition by advising and training both the employers that hire students and the educators who support their career development on campus.

ERC 2022 will also feature industry speakers, alumni and employer panel discussions, and presentations from RRC Polytech staff, covering the topics of labour market trends, cultural themes, workplace expectations, and job search best practices.

BMO Capital Markets has officially launched its Summer 2023 Diversity Scholarship Campaign!

They are looking for diverse students (Female, Black, LGBTQ+, Indigenous, Person of Colour, Students with Disabilities) with an interest in gaining experience in finance!

Applications are now open until April 29th, 2022.
