The number of Indigenous business owners is growing at five times the rate of self-employed Canadians, and Indigenous women are starting businesses at twice the rate of non-Indigenous women. Indigenous people represent the fastest growth segment of the population, and given the tremendous growth projections for the Indigenous economy, Indigenous entrepreneurship is — and will continue to be — a driving force of Canada’s long-term economic stability.

Join Frank Parkes, Student Employment Services and Terri-Lynn Anderson, Indigenous Education as we share statistics and trends in Indigenous businesses, challenges faced by entrepreneurs and how a career as an entrepreneur or business owner may be the path for you! We’ll share some of the exciting events and micro-credential courses being offered at RRC Polytech that can accelerate your business planning process.

If you have any questions, please contact Student Employment Services at ses@rrc.ca.
