Employer-On-Campus: Terracon (Mar 11)

March 3, 2024

Targeted programs: Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering Technology,  and Construction Management programs. 1st years, intermediate and senior students. Students from part-time programs like Drafting/CAD or those with some professional background are also welcome to attend.

In-person information session where employers provide information about their companies, organization history, what they do, career paths, and co-op/job opportunities. This is an excellent opportunity to engage and network with the company representatives while making a positive impression during the session. 

Employers always bring one or more graduates from the programs who had a WIL experience with them and were hired as full-time employees after graduating. They share their WIL and professional experience within the company.

Exchange Chartered Professional Accountants has been hiring students from the 2-year Business Administration program (Accounting Major) for several years.  They have been impressed with the education levels and work ethic of the people hired from this program.

For students interested in public accounting, or those who want to know more about public accounting, Exchange Chartered Professional Accountants is hosting a Lunch and Learn session.

Leaders from ECA will include:

  • Michael Delaurier:  The firm’s audit and accounting standards partner.  Michael was recently awarded a Fellowship within the CPA profession in recognition of his commitment to the profession and his volunteer activities in supporting the community
  • Malorie Maes:  A senior manager with ECA who graduated from RRC Polytech’s 2-year Business Administration (Accounting) program, and then continued her education, eventually obtaining her CPA designation.

This session will include a 15-minute presentation and a 45-minute Q&A/networking session. Please come prepared to engage with the presenters and each other! 

Pizza will be provided!
