Amazon – Refugee Career Day

October 13, 2022

Amazon’s 2nd Refugee Career Day is on Thursday, November 3rd, 2022.

The goal of this virtual event is to provide an opportunity for refugees in Canada to learn more about careers with Amazon and provide the opportunity to connect with Amazon team members.

Virtual booths will be set up by job type and participants will be able to enter a booth to view job postings/information and request to speak 1:1 with Amazon representatives.

Additionally, a booth for resume reviews/tips/questions will be available, and live stream presentations on interviewing at Amazon, resume writing and Amazon’s new refugee affinity group.

BMO Authentic Me Workshop

October 12, 2022

The ‘Authentic Me’ workshop is a deliberate outreach effort for students, clubs and associations at universities and colleges to help them adjust and prepare for the virtual recruitment process for coop/internships/new graduates.

Students will have the opportunity to engage with BMO Campus Recruiters for an interactive virtual session focusing on creating elevator pitches, resume writing, and interview skills while ensuring to stay true to their authentic selves.

Apply to be a Campus Ambassador for CPHR Manitoba

Applications are now being accepted for the 2022-2023 post-secondary year.

CPHR Manitoba is looking for student members to be a representative and advocate for CPHR Manitoba within their post-secondary program and institutions. Ambassadors will work to build meaningful relationships with peers and faculty while promoting CPHR Manitoba and the CPHR designation.

This volunteer position for the 2022-2023 post-secondary school year requires approximately 5 hours of commitment each month.

RRC Polytech students enrolled full-time in the Human Resource Management Certificate program or Business Administration Diploma (HR Major) program are eligible to apply.

Benefits of Being an Ambassador Include:

  • Use the title of Student Ambassador for CPHR Manitoba on your resume and LinkedIn
  • All Student Ambassadors receive a $500 honorarium

Registration is now open for the Get Job Search Ready Series!

Career Services is providing an interactive workshop series on the development of employment documents and skills for students!

The Get Job Search Ready series will be a combination of presentations and workshops on the following topics:

  • Job Search Strategies and Networking
  • LinkedIn Profile Development
  • Resumes and Cover Letters
  • Interview Strategies and Practice Opportunities

These workshops will be designed for students in business-related programs. All students are welcome to attend and adapt the information to their field.

The workshops will be delivered virtually during October and November, from 12pm – 1pm.
