The Canadian Immigrant Fair is returning to Winnipeg!

This free, one-stop event connects newcomers with information and inspiration on the three pillars of immigrant success: Careers, Education and Settlement.

The fair offers a dynamic environment for immigrants who need help as they look for jobs, go back to school and settle in their new home.  Connect with employers, recruiters, immigrant service providers, educational institutions, and government services that can support you on your journey.

Amazon Canada’s Refugee Career Day – June 23

Born out of a desire to meaningfully help refugees and humanitarian-based immigrants, Amazon Canada is hosting a virtual Career Day for new Canadians.

Attendees will have the opportunity to connect one-on-one with Amazon recruiters from across the company, learn about interviewing at Amazon, and receive resume review support.

With participation from recruiters across all departments, participants will be able to connect with the right recruiters for the roles they are interested in – whether that’s in a senior corporate role or an entry-level associate position.

Career Fair – Bayshore Home Health – June 25

Are you a compassionate individual who is passionate about making a difference and want to leave your shifts knowing you made a positive impact in someone’s life?

If so, then Bayshore Home Health invites you to their upcoming career fair.  Positions being recruited for include personal caregivers, certified health care aides and licensed practical nurses.

Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is hiring graduates!

The CRA is currently recruiting students who have graduated, or will be graduating, from a recognized post-secondary institution between December 1, 2018, and June 30, 2022.

RRC Polytech’s Student Employment Services (SES), in collaboration with the Centre for International Education and Global Partnerships (CIEGP), Academic Success Centre (ASC), and the School of Indigenous Education (SIE), is hosting the 3rd virtual Employment Readiness Conference (ERC)!

After the challenges of the last few years, this year’s conference theme, Back to YOUR Future, will focus on the possibilities ahead for RRC Polytech’s students and alumni.

A highlight of this year’s event is Lisa Taylor, who will be partnering with us as a keynote speaker. Lisa is the President of Challenge Factory and the Centre for Career Innovation. She offers invaluable leadership and insights about the Future of Work—with a focus on how talent equity, demographics, freelance economy, and new market dynamics to gain strategic workforce and career advantage.

But wait, there’s more! The second day keynote speaker is Graham Donald, one of North America’s leading experts on attracting, recruiting, and engaging students and graduates. He founded Brainstorm Strategy Group Inc. in 2003 to focus on improving students’ school-to-work transition by advising and training both the employers that hire students and the educators who support their career development on campus.

ERC 2022 will also feature industry speakers, alumni and employer panel discussions, and presentations from RRC Polytech staff, covering the topics of labour market trends, cultural themes, workplace expectations, and job search best practices.
