Centre for Newcomer Integration Student Support Services Weekly W-O-R-D-S

November 9, 2023

We have a Weekly W-O-R-D-S winner! Congratulations to Hanna’s class for completing the four corner pattern.

Don’t worry- There are still two chances to win. Try to complete one of the patterns below for your chance to win a prize for your class:

Here are this week’s 4 words and definitions:

  1. Networking
    • Interacting with others in order to develop professional or social contacts for employment or business. Networking can be helpful to learn about job opportunities and trends in a particular field.
    • For additional information on networking, contact an LTC- Student Integration Coordinator, Jillian (jhoogland@rrc.ca) for Winnipeg students or Christy (cdepp@rrc.ca) for regional students.
  2. Adaptability
    • The ability to adjust to new/different conditions. Being adaptable in the workplace is important. Employers value employees that are successfully able to manage changes in the workplace. Being adaptable is also important because it showcases your ability to be resourceful, displays your leadership skills, determination, analytical skills and more.
  3. Stress Management
  4. RRC Polytech – President
    • Fred Meier

If your class completes a BINGO, email CNI Student Integration Coordinator, Jillian (jhoogland@rrc.ca).

GOOD LUCK!
