Open House at the Immigrant Centre

Are you an immigrant in Manitoba? Do you know about the Immigrant Centre? Do you know how it can help you?
As part of Manitoba Career and Workforce Development Month, the Immigrant Centre will host two “Open House” events for immigrants:
November 3 (3:30 – 5:30 pm)ic
November 26 (3:00 – 5:00 pm)
 
The events include a short presentation about the different programs and services they offer, as well as a tour of the building.

Get Ready for Winter in Winnipeg!

RRC’s Counselling and Accessibility Services gives workshops to help students who have anxiety about taking tests. As well, they now offer support groups to students who want to relieve stress and have better coping skills.

Free Banking Workshop for Permanent Residents

The University of Winnipeg’s Global Welcome Centre offers a series of free information sessions to permanent residents

The next workshop, on October 28, is about banking in Canada. For more information about this workshop, click here.

Space is limited so register early! Those who register must have an intermediate language level (minimum CLB or IELTS level 5).

Do you like playing Soccer? RRC is recruiting futsal teams and players!
Date: Saturday, November 29, 2014
Time: 9 am – 4 pm
Location: Red River College, Notre Dame Campus – North Gym
Format:

  • Matches will be played 6 on 6 Coed
  • 8 – 10 players per team
  • Round robin tournament format

Registration Deadline is March 3. All RRC staff and students are welcome to register for FREE.

›This is a day to remember and show respect to members of the Canadian Armed Forces who have died in the line of duty since World War I.
›So that we can stop and remember their sacrifice, many stores will be closed for the morning or for the entire day. People wear a red poppy to remember the soldiers.
There will be no classes at Red River College and all offices will be closed.
