Employment Readiness Conference

Students are invited to attend the Employment Readiness Conference on May 25 and 26.  RRC Polytech’s Student Employment Services (SES), in collaboration with the Centre for International Education and Global Partnerships (CIEGP), Academic Success Centre (ASC), and the School of Indigenous Education (SIE), is hosting the 3rd virtual Employment Readiness Conference (ERC)!

ERC 2022 will feature industry speakers, alumni and employer panel discussions, and presentations from RRC Polytech staff, covering the topics of labour market trends, cultural themes, workplace expectations, and job search best practices.

The LTC will be hosting a special IN-PERSON event at Manitou a bi Bii Daziigae on Tuesday, May 17th, from 11:00am-2:00pm.

The Manitou a bi Bii Daziigae LTC Meet-Up will provide an opportunity for Language Training Centre students and staff to connect with one another and learn about supports and services available to them at Manitou a bi Bii Daziigae and the Roblin Centre Campus.

  • Where: In the Agora of Manitou a bi Bii Daziigae, 319 Elgin Avenue
  • When: Drop-in anytime between 11:00am-2:00pm

Activities include:

  • Take a tour of The Roblin Centre and Manitou a bi Bii Daziigae
  • Get a free professional headshot for your LinkedIn profile
  • Spend time with therapy dogs

Free Concert- Manitoba Remembers: A COVID Elegy

An elegy is a poem, or a lament for that which has been lost.

Reflected through music, stories and images, the Manitoba Remembers event explores the impacts of the COVID pandemic on families, communities and ways of life across our province.

Through the healing power of music, the musicians commemorate and honour our shared experience of loss while also looking forward with hope.

Cooking for Wellness: A Virtual Cooking Class

Learn how to make pork or chicken adobo while cooking alongside your instructor, Abby Legaspi! This workshop is part of the Thrive event series, hosted by the RRCSA and Healthy Minds Healthy College.

Are you interested in a career with the Winnipeg Police Service?

The Winnipeg Police Service is dedicated to working towards a Police Service that represents the community they serve.

The Diversity and Indigenous Partnerships Section will be hosting a 3-hour virtual workshop focused on Indigenous and Diverse community members interested in a career with the Winnipeg Police Service on April 16th, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm via zoom.

The event will include an overview of the organization and a presentation about the application and hiring process. 

Information will be provided on volunteer opportunities, civilian positions, cadets, and police officer opportunities within the Winnipeg Police Service.
