Paint Night at the LTC: November 26

  • Are you interested in trying something new?
  • Do you like to meet new people?
  • Would you like to have fun while practicing your English outside of class?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then Paint Night is for you!

On Tuesday, November 26, the Language Training Centre will host a Paint Night from 4:00pm-6:00pm in Room D. The very talented artist (and LTC student) Xavier, will help participants to create a beautiful painting that they can bring home at the end of the session.

  • No painting experience is necessary.
  • All supplies will be provided.
  • This activity is FREE!

Santa Claus Parade: November 16

Are you looking for a fun, free, family-friendly activity to do this weekend? Why not head out to the Santa Claus Parade on Saturday, November 16th?

The parade starts at 5:00 pm and follows a route along Portage Avenue. Click here to see a map of the parade route.

Free Activity for Student: Bowling

Join your Student Support team for a fun-filled evening of bowling on Friday, October 18th at Polo Park Bowling Lanes.

The activity is free and includes:

  • 2 hours of bowling (6:00PM-8:00PM)
  • Shoe rental
  • Pizza and beverages

Manyfest: September 6-8

The Downtown Winnipeg BIZ is excited to celebrate downtown Winnipeg’s largest street festival! ManyFest will see an anticipated 50,000-plus people celebrating at Memorial and Broadway September 6-8, 2019.

There will be fun for all ages, including live musical performances, food truck wars and games for children.

Student Representative Wanted: LTC Health and Safety Committee

The LTC Health and Safety Committee meets quarterly (four times per year) to discuss health and safety concerns. The team consists of management, employee, and student representatives. Meetings are typically 2-hours long.

Students who are interested in careers in security or business in particular may gain valuable experience for their resume from being a part of this committee – although students from any field can benefit and are welcome.

Interested students should email Darka, DBurczynski@RRC.CA, and Sherry, slseymour@RRC.CA, including their class schedule. Deadline – September 10th.

Free Admission to the Canadian Museum for Human Rights

Free First Wednesday Evenings

The Museum offers free general admission on the first Wednesday of every month from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Please note that the exhibition Mandela: Struggle for Freedom is not included in this special offer. The Level 1 Gallery is closed to visitors on free nights.
