RRC Polytech’s Language Training Centre in Thompson provides free English classes for permanent residents and refugees for everyday life in Canada, finding employment or accessing academic programs.

The English classes are free for permanent residents and refugees. Classes are funded by the Government of Canada through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
LINC certificates are given with student progress reports, and can be used for proof of language for Canadian citizenship.

To register for your language assessment test, please contact WELARC at info@welarc.net.
Once your English-language skills have been assessed, WELARC will refer you to a language program that fits your needs. If you are referred to the Language Training Centre, we will contact you about how to continue with your orientation and registration.
