Emerging Media and Production creates a wide range of educational materials to enrich teaching and learning at RRC Polytech. We create and support the development of media that demonstrates complex processes, inspires learning, and connects the college and partners with engaging communications. Our emphasis is on the production of high-quality, media-rich materials that are used internally and internationally.
There is an old adage that a picture is worth a thousand words. With video, the pictures roll by at 60 frames per minute and when combined with audio and graphical information, makes for a powerful learning experience. Educational videos are the cornerstone of most quality blended learning programs and offer students engaging media to develop a deeper understanding of content. In Emerging Media, we produce a wide variety of videos including materials for the Trades, Health Sciences, and Aviation, often including industry and community partners.
In this digital era, video and storytelling are synonymous. Stories teach us about life, about ourselves and about others. They are about emotion, imagination, and connection. We have collaborated to share stories of early childhood experiences around the world, from Winnipeg’s Lord Selkirk Park to Afghanistan, we have had the honor to share personal stories of Truth and Reconciliation, the rewards and challenges of Nursing in remote communities, and the heartbreak and hope of fire victims in Fort McMurray. Storytelling enriches the teaching and learning experience in meaningful ways. What’s yours?
No medium has the power to excite and engage an audience more than video. Our high-quality communication products have been used internally and around the world to connect with and inform audiences in a manner that reflects RRC Polytech’s standard of excellence. Whether it’s a highly produced promotional video, an event capture, a personal testimonial or announcement, we can assist you with sharing your message and developing effective asynchronous and synchronous communications.
