Through the Health Information Management program, you will develop specialized, in-depth knowledge of health information science, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology and build practical skills in medical coding, computerization and statistical analysis. As a Health Information Management graduate, you are eligible for the national certification exam administered by the Canadian College of Health Information Management (CCHIM). After this exam, you can work across Canada as a certified professional member of the Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA).
