As a 5th class power engineer, you’ll be responsible for the operation and maintenance of heating plants, ensuring general facility upkeep and safety while maintaining client comfort.
Through the Power Engineering Technology 5th Class program, you’ll build the in-depth knowledge and technical skills you need to use and maintain boilers, pumps, fans, air compressors, motors, air conditioning systems, refrigeration devices and other critical facility equipment. You’ll also develop professional communication skills and learn to coordinate and schedule maintenance staff, manage contractors and communicate with tenants and provincial authorities.
In this program, you’ll develop the in-depth knowledge and technical skills needed to operate and maintain essential building facilities and related equipment, including gas air compressors, generators, motors, turbines, air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, and steam or hot water boilers.
