The Teaching for Learning in Applied Education program (TFL) builds the foundational skills needed to effectively train and teach adults in an applied learning environment.
This post-graduate program focuses on combining your subject matter expertise with teaching-for-learning techniques and educational technology, giving you the tools to help adult students achieve career growth and success. Learn to build effective lesson plans, incorporate diverse perspectives, foster equity through Universal Design for Learning techniques and create engaging, practical learning experiences.

TFL is encouraged, if not required, by many post secondary institutions and industry partners. Instructors require TFL training to teach at Red River College Polytechnic, University College of the North and Assiniboine Community College. If you are interested in furthering adult education, we encourage you to apply – no previous teaching experience is required.
