Early Childhood Education

Guide the next generation of learners and connect children, families and communities through education.

Develop the knowledge and skills to provide quality, child-centered guidance to young children through RRC Polytech’s Early Childhood Education (ECE) program.

Explore play-based curriculums, guidance techniques, child development and family relations while developing critical communication and professionalism skills. You’ll also build practical work experience under the guidance of centre mentors in vital work placement opportunities. This program offers the training you need to succeed whether you’re new to ECE or currently working as a child care assistant.

Educational Assistant

Gain the skills and knowledge to work with students under a teacher’s direction.

Prepare for a career working with students in an educational setting to support the work of teachers and clinicians. Study and explore the developmental needs of children, and the instructional strategies to meet those needs. Learn about inclusive education and learner characteristics to support the learning environment, manage behaviour and act professionally.

Health Care Aide

Join the front lines of Manitoba’s health-care system, helping to keep our neighbours and communities safe.

Develop the knowledge and skills you need to become a health care aide, helping people remain independent while receiving care and treatment. Under the supervision of a nurse, you’ll assist hospital patients, personal care home residents or home care clients with daily activities and their physical, emotional and social needs. Help others live with dignity and independence.

Plumbing

Turn your experience into expertise and solve practical problems.

Build the practical knowledge and technical skills you need to safely install and repair water and waste disposal systems and plumbing fixtures and lay out sanitary drainage, venting and storm drainage systems. You’ll also develop practical mathematics and sciences skills and gain experience with plumbing code, rigging and material handling.
