Meet our New Diversity Ambassador, Nyaninni James!

Hello everyone! I’m Nyaninni (ya-nee-ni) and my home country is Jamaica. In Fall 2020, I will begin my second-year majoring in Social Innovation and Community Development at the Exchange District Campus (EDC).

An avid foodie, I enjoy trying foods from all cultures! Being a Caribbean native, music and dance is in my bones and is a big part of my relaxation. You also can find me experimenting with my hair/kinks.

Change is constant and my journey so far has been filled with lessons, adjustments, and growth. I find it very important to use the support systems offered at RRC and locally. My advice to students, “every question has an answer…just ask.”

This year promises to be quite innovative and I am looking forward to successfully navigating virtual schooling and to be a support system for fellow international students. I am excited to share my experiences and work alongside student support coordinators to help each student maximize their learning potential and have a holistic experience.
