Study Permit Application Submission
If you have received a valid Letter of Acceptance (LOA) regardless of the start date of the program and a Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) from Red River College Polytechnic (RRC Polytech), we encourage you to submit your Study Permit application to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) before October 31, 2024. Applying by this deadline ensures you will be considered under the previous post-graduate work permit (PGWP) eligibility requirements. This will allow you to qualify for a post-graduate work permit without the need to align your program with a specific field of study and Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP Codes).
Beginning November 1, 2024, only students who have graduated from an eligible field of study will be eligible for the Post-Graduate Work Permit (PGWP). RRC Polytech is actively collaborating with various stakeholders to develop a list of programs that will align with the new Post-Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) requirements. These programs will correspond to eligible fields of occupation as outlined by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). For more information on eligible fields, please refer to the official IRCC guidance.
We are committed to ensuring that our students have access to programs that support their post-graduation career goals. Stay tuned for further updates as we finalize our program list.
