Inclusion Week: Tomorrow’s Events (Friday, November 4th)

All RRC Polytech students and staff are invited to participate in our first annual Inclusion Week, October 31st – November 4th, 2022.

Gender & Sexual Diversity Training for Students (online)
Friday, November 4th, 12:00 TO 12:50 P.M.

The Gender and Sexual Diversity Training aims to increase students’ awareness about gender and sexual diversity, and support participants in understanding the complexity of the gender and sexual diversity spectrum. Additionally, participants will learn inclusive strategies for respectful, affirming, and gender-inclusive communication. Register now!

Truth and Reconciliation Immersion Room Experience
November 4th (GM-33, NDC), 15 minute presentations, every 30 minutes from 9-3pm

Immerse yourself in an introductory story of Truth and Reconciliation, from the relationship with “Earth Mother” to the experience of Residential Schools. This 10-minute installation is about healing and respect, and provides an opportunity to learn, discuss, and share thoughts and experiences related to Truth and Reconciliation.

All Inclusive Dance Party!
5:00 TO 8:00 P.M. at Manitou a bi bii Daziigae

Capping off Inclusion Week, join the RRC Polytech Students’ Association for a fun, inclusive event to celebrate the diversity of our College community. Feel free to dance, mingle, and just be yourself in a fun, safe, accepting and inclusive space. This licensed event will feature a DJ in an inclusive and accessible environment.   

You must pre-register to attend this event as space is limited. Admission is free; You must show valid student and government ID.
