It is a new tool to use within Outlook to populate times that all attendees would be available to attend a meeting. It has replaced the Outlook add-in called FindTime.
As of December 11, 2023, you can no longer create meeting polls using FindTime.
A meeting organizer will add attendees to the new email or new meeting invitation and Scheduling Poll will suggest available times according to everyone’s availability. This poll of specific times is sent by the organizer to the attendees.
The attendees will then vote for their preferred times.
The meeting organizer will receive the results of the poll, and it will indicate the number of people whom are available or not at each specific timeframe. The organizer will then choose the most appropriate time for the meeting, according to the results, and then send the meeting invitation.
The meeting organizer can review the replies simultaneously within Scheduling Poll, rather than sifting through the back-and-forth emails we typically send or receive when others have suggested another time.
In this way, Scheduling Poll is a much more effective way to manage your new meeting times.
