Information Technology Solutions (ITS) has an updated staff email security feature. This feature is a positive element that secures your College communications, whether you use Outlook on your desktop or Outlook on the web (formerly known as Outlook Web App or Outlook Web Access) you have this same security.

How does the College protect my email Inbox?

We use a cloud-based filtering service that helps protect our organization from spam and malware. This is already working to secure both your incoming and your outgoing email. It will filter and inspect all emails that are received at College email addresses. When one is deemed of concern, it will be placed into your Junk Email folder.

What if an expected email is not in my Inbox?

ITS invites you to check your Junk Email folder as a regular occurrence, to ensure that you receive all your important email communications. To move an email from that sender to your Inbox, please see:

How long does email stay in the Junk Email folder?

Email sent to the Junk Email folder will remain there for the default 30 days, whether they were sent there automatically or if they were moved there manually. Please review the Junk Email folder frequently.

IMPORTANT: If the email you are looking for is also not in your Junk Email folder, please submit a Service Desk ticket at the ITS Service Desk.
