Redirect junk email to Inbox

Information Technology Solutions (ITS) has an updated staff email security feature. We use a cloud-based filtering service that helps protect our organization from spam and malware. This is already working to secure both your incoming and your outgoing email. It will filter and inspect all emails that are received at College email addresses. When one is deemed of concern, it will be placed into your Junk Email folder.

NOTE: Email placed in the Junk Email folder, will be held there for 30 days, and then they will be deleted. For more information, please see Email Security FAQ.

Move junk email using tabs

  1. Click your Junk Email folder on the left-hand pane, and then click on the email that you want to redirect to your Inbox. On the Home tab, in the Delete group, click Junk, and then click Not Junk.

  2. Click OK to move this back to your Inbox.

Move junk email using submenu

  1. Click your Junk Email folder on the left-hand pane, and right-click on the email you want to redirect to Inbox, and then click Junk, and then Not Junk.

  2. Click OK to move this back to your Inbox.

    IMPORTANT: If the email you are looking for is not in your Junk Email folder, please click on ITS Service Desk website to submit a Service Desk Ticket.

Block Sender

  1. Click one of the options in the block senders group.

  2. A small window opens with further information, and then click OK.

NOTE: All chosen option results are immediate, whether you are blocking or want that sender to never be blocked. You may edit junk email options using the following instructions.


Junk Email Options

  1. Click Junk and then Junk Email Options.

  2. Choose one of the tabs to review and edit your Saved Senders, Saved Recipients, and Blocked Senders.

NOTE: You can review, add, and remove email addresses as needed from these three tabs.
