Connect to wireless network – Windows 10 and 11

If you are connecting to the RRCWireless network for the first time, refer to Step 1. If you have recently changed your password and can no longer connect to the network, open the Forget wireless network – Windows 10 and 11 webpage.

  1. Click the Network icon in the bottom right‑hand corner of your taskbar.

  2. Click RRCWireless.
    NOTE: If RRCWireless is not listed in the available networks, you will have to add it manually. Open the Configure wireless network – Windows 10 and 11 webpage for instructions.

  3. Since this is a network that you trust and will regularly connect to, select the Connect automatically check box to enable your device to connect to the RRC Wireless network whenever it is within the network’s range.

  4. Click Connect. If you use a College‑issued device to log on, the RRC Wireless network status will change to “Connected, secured,” and you can begin using the network. You must enter your credentials if you use a personal device to log on. Refer to Step 5.

  5. If you use a personal device to log on to the RRCWireless network, you must enter your College user name and password, then click OK. The RRCWireless network status will change to “Connected, secured,” and you can begin using the network.
    NOTE: Enter the same username and password you use to access the RRC Polytech network.

NOTE: The following three buttons are at the bottom of the network menu:

  • Wi‑Fi: Click Wi‑Fi to deactivate/activate the wireless card on your device. Disabling Wi‑Fi prevents your device from connecting to any network.
  • Airplane mode: Click Airplane mode to deactivate/activate the wireless card on your device and any other radio transmitters, such as Bluetooth. Enabling Airplane mode prevents your device from connecting to any network and preserves battery life.
  • Mobile hotspot: Click Mobile hotspot to turn your device into a mobile hotspot so that all your devices can connect to the internet when no router is available.
