Update Windows 10 to Windows 11

Follow these steps below to upgrade your College computer from Windows 10 to Windows 11.

Step 1 – Check for Updates

1. Click on the Start menu, type Settings, and then click the result under Best match.
   
2. Click Update & Security on the Windows Settings window.
   

Step 2 – Download and Install

When the Windows Settings window opens from the previous step:

1. Click the Windows Update tab on the left, if it did not automatically open in that tab.
2. Click Download and install under the Windows 11 upgrade option in the box in the middle of the page.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions. Your computer will begin downloading the update.

Step 3 – Restart and Complete Installation

• Once the download is complete, click Restart now to start the installation.
• The computer may restart multiple times. Do not turn it off during this process.
• After the installation is complete, follow any setup instructions on the screen.
