The purpose of this guideline is to provide an approach to community sponsorships that aligns and supports RRC Polytech’s mission, values and Strategic Plan. As an educational institution and registered charity primarily funded through government and donations, RRC Polytech will focus on partnering with external organizations for mutual benefit through a number of means, including sponsorship.
These guidelines will ensure the College is supporting common goals that will further the mission of RRC Polytech and the organizations it supports.
Sponsorships and in-kind donations may be provided to community organizations that align with and support RRC Polytech’s mission, values and strategic plan and provide an opportunity to support key operational objectives or reach key audiences.
Sponsorships are evaluated by a core team in consultation with leadership and internal stakeholders who have connections and relationship expertise related to the requesting organization.
Note: All sponsorship arrangements must be in accordance with all relevant RRC Polytech policies (e.g., Conflict of Interest, Purchasing, Use of Facilities).
Organizations should submit their requests at least six weeks prior to the date for which the sponsorship is being requested to allow for review and processing time. Late submissions may be considered at the discretion of the Department of College and Public Relations.

Note: Academic/RRC Polytech Administration needs supersede requests for sponsorship.
A written proposal covering terms of the sponsorship agreement will be prepared.
Recognizing RRC Polytech’s commitment to be accountable, the terms of the sponsorship agreements will be available to the public.
RRC Polytech reserves the right to terminate an existing sponsorship/partnership should any of the following occur:
These Guidelines will be reassessed as needed and modifications will be made to the Guidelines as appropriate.
