The Student Evaluation of Instruction/Course (SEI/C) is one part of RRC Polytech’s efforts to improve every student’s experience while they are enrolled at the College.
The SEI/C should be conducted during class time, whether in person or online, in order to get as many students participating as possible.
Students in full and part-time courses can access their instruction/course evaluations by checking their academic email accounts. The invitations will also appear in the RRC Polytech Surveys widget on the students’ LEARN page.
The student feedback collected from SEI/C helps instructors identify what is working and what needs to be improved and is part of the College’s ongoing effort to improve students’ experience. Obtaining relevant information from students is a team effort and instructors can influence the student response rate to these evaluations more than any other factor. Below is the guide to some of the strategies that instructors can utilize to raise the response rate:
There is a FAQ document with answers to some of the questions we have received from students:
A report of the feedback collected through the SEI/C can be accessed by the staff as a dashboard. The following user guide can be utilized by the staff to access and facilitate the use of the dashboard:
If you have questions or concerns with accessing your dashboard and/or the content of the dashboard that is not addressed in the user guide, please email RRCSurveys@rrc.ca.
