Accessible Parking

Anyone who needs the permanent, full-time assistance of a mobility aid (e.g. wheelchair, walker, cane, etc.) or has mobility requirements may bring their Manitoba Possible endorsement letter to the Commuting and Parking office where we will work with you to set up an accessible parking permit close to your building.

Temporary permits are also available to allow you to use designated spaces during your recovery period (as certified by your health care professional).

Electric/Hybrid Vehicles Charging Stations

Notre Dame Campus

EV charging stations are located in the South zone (South 1 and South 2), in the Central Staff-Only zone (Central 2 and Central 5), and in the North zone (North 1 and North 3). Only those with a valid power permit or paid daily parking may use these stalls and must actively charge their vehicle. Once your vehicle is charged, please move your vehicle to a regular stall to allow other EV drivers to use these spaces. Use of these stalls is limited to those with electric/hybrid vehicles. All other vehicles will be subject to ticketing and/or towing.

Exchange District Campus

We do not manage any lots at EDC and do not have EV charging stations available.

Stevenson Aviation Campus

Only those with a valid power permit or paid daily parking may use the charge stall and must be actively charging their vehicle. Once your vehicle is charged, please move your vehicle to a regular stall to allow other EV drivers to make use of these spaces. Use of these stalls is limited to those with electric/hybrid vehicles. All other vehicles will be subject to ticketing and/or towing.

Staff Payroll Deduction Program

Note: Registrations for the 2024-2025 Staff Payroll Deduction program will be open Monday, June 3, 2024, until Friday, August 2, 2024.

All eligible full-time NDC and Stevenson staff may enroll in an annual parking permit via bi-weekly Payroll Deduction. If you are going to be on campus full-time, this is an easy way to ensure your parking is always up to date!

Ineligible categories include: contractors (Food Services, Day Care), evening Instructors, and part-time staff who are paid in arrears.

Prior to the expiry date of the annual permit, staff will be required to re-enroll for the upcoming year. Failure to re-enroll will result in the removal from the Staff Payroll Deduction Program.

Notification to register or re-enroll in the Staff Payroll Deduction program will be posted in Staff News or through an automatic notification reminder to existing annual permit holders.

How To Enroll

Sign up through the online parking portal and follow these instructions:

  1. Select “Get Permits
  2. Choose your desired zone (Central, North, South, or West) and select the permit type (non-power or power).
  3. Proceed to the next step and select the vehicles you would like to attach to the permit.
  4. Review your permit details and ensure that your correct email address is listed before checking out. Please proceed to checkout by selecting “Next” to complete your enrolment. No fees are due at the time of checkout; however, you will see the total amount due for the year that will be deducted through your bi-weekly payroll.

Once you’ve completed the process, you should receive an email confirmation. You can also find the details listed under “View Permits” for your reference.

Notification to register or re-enroll in the Staff Payroll Deduction program will be sent annually in May. If you miss the deadline to register or re-enroll, please visit the Commuting and Parking office to complete your registration in person.

Note: All manual registrations between the 1st and 15th of the month will be processed for the following month.

Example: You applied between October 1st and 15th. You will be enrolled for November deductions (you will still be required to purchase parking for October).

How to Cancel

In the event that you go on leave and do not wish to continue deductions, you will need to notify Commuting and Parking by email that you wish to cancel your permit immediately. Failure to do so may result in continued deductions that will not be eligible for a refund. Payroll Deductions will continue until a cancellation request is submitted.

To cancel your Payroll Deduction, contact the Commuting and Parking office by email a minimum of 15 business days in advance to meet payroll requirements. Please note that by cancelling your annual permit, you will be subject to a $30 cancellation fee except in extenuating circumstances.
