Student Experience

Thrive in the classroom and in your career

Ninety-seven per cent of graduates from RRC Polytech’s creative arts programs would recommend their program to others. Add to that a post-graduation employment rate of 88 per cent and it’s clear our alumni are making impact in Manitoba’s creative industries.

Need more proof? Look no further than some of our grads who shared their success stories in our Polytechnic Proud campaign, like Jessica MillerFawnda NeckowayCharmaine Jennings, and Amanda Buhse.

A learning environment committed to your success

As a Schroeder Institute student, you have access to all of RRC Polytech’s student supports, and a college community that embeds Reconciliation, as well as equity, diversity and inclusion into everything it does.

You will learn by doing, with industry-grade equipment under the guidance of faculty who mentor and inspire. They, along with dedicated teams at the College, will help you build connections with future employers – while you study and after graduation – and help you begin your career journey.

All Schroeder Institute students will be loaned a laptop for their studies and have access to cameras and lighting kits for animation and film assignments.

Feel confident in your studies and the experience you’ll gain through the Schroeder Institute, knowing the program you choose has been developed alongside professionals with an edge on what creative industries need so you can hit the ground running in your chosen field.

You’ll learn in state-of-the-art facilities, including one of RRC Polytech’s newest buildings, and it’s fourth LEED-certified building – Manitou a bi Bii daziigae – a hub for connection and collaboration.

Throughout your program of study, in-class knowledge will be expanded through work-integrated learning (like work practicums, capstone research collaborations with industry partners).

For industry professionals looking to upgrade their skills and advance their careers, our ever-growing offering of micro-credentials delivers short-duration training designed to fit your work-life balance.

RRC Polytech campuses are located on the lands of Anishinaabe, Ininiwak, Anishininew, Dakota, and Dené, and the National Homeland of the Red River Métis.
