Campus Well-Being January Programs
Mental Well-Being
30-Day Mindfulness Opportunity (with prizes!)
As we begin a new year amid ever present challenges, it’s a good idea to take time to develop a healthy mindset, along with stress management skills. With this in mind, you’re invited to join dozens of other RRC Polytech students and staff in a 30 Day Mindfulness Challenge.
Read all the details here.
Bell Let’s Talk Day
Bell Let’s Talk, January 25, focuses on destigmatizing, building awareness, acceptance, and action on mental health. After the challenges we have individually and collectively faced, continuing conversations about our mental health is more important than ever.
Hearing the stories others have to tell about their experiences overcoming and navigating mental health barriers helps us normalize and minimize the stigma or shame that we may feel concerning our own mental health.
Bell Let’s Talk Day represents a community coming together to learn about ourselves and the experiences of others and to create dialogue about what it means for us to support our mental health and wellness.
Check back for updates on how you can get involved.

Make a Vision Board (In-Person)
Treat yourself to two hours of creative fun making your own vision board to set you up for the new year with a clear vision of your commitments to yourself.
Also known as dream boards, a vision board is a visualization tool which refers to a board of any sort used to build a collage of words and pictures that represent your goals and dreams. These inspirational collages serve as your image of the future – a tangible example, idea or representation of where you are going. By putting a vision board somewhere you can see it every day, you will prompt yourself to visualize your life on a regular basis.
Your vision board becomes a powerful reminder throughout the year. Conversation and community will arise naturally as we each engage in our own creative work.
REGISTER – In-Person Session at the Notre Dame Campus: Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 4pm to 6pm in the Prairie Lights past Tim Hortons.
All materials supplied: Scissors, glue, poster board and variety of magazines. Bring any personalized pictures or graphics with you to include if wanted.
Facilitated by Amanda Le Rougetel: A writer, collage artist and community educator. She was drawn to collage for how it invites us to take separate, maybe unrelated, images and put them together with our own unique vision in order to tell a whole new story. A retired RRC Polytech instructor, Amanda is now forging new paths that combine her passions and interests. She is delighted to be returning to the college to lead this vision board workshop.

Your Intuitive Style – How do you tune in? (Virtual)
This workshop explores the ways people can tune into their intuition and use their senses to gather information about situations and events. As well as learning to trust the information gathered. We discuss the overall importance of balancing logical thoughts with intuitive impressions.
Many people have sparks of intuition, but either do not know how to interpret them or ignore them completely. This workshop will help participants embrace those intuitive moments and become more aware of what their intuition has to offer.
REGISTER – Thursday, February 2, 2023 from 6pm to 8pm, Virtual Workshop
Registration required. NOTE: Link will be emailed to registrants separately.
