Are you a budding culinarian looking to take your food prep to the next level? Are you thinking about gaining skills to make you more employable? Join RRC Polytech’s tuition-free Culinary Arts program for teens!
This program will focus on introducing youth aged 14-21 to professional culinary arts through study and application of basic principles and fundamental techniques, including food safety, purchasing, menu planning and budgeting, and service.
The program will be delivered in person at the Paterson GlobalFoods Institute, part of RRC Polytech’s Exchange District Campus.
Classes run Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4:30pm to 7:30pm, starting November 5, 2024 and ending February 5, 2025.
Classes do not run on December 24, 25, and 31, 2024, and January 1, 2025.

The final project will involve demonstrating an understanding of planning and executing a menu, from writing the grocery list to completing the meal service.

Winnipeg-based author and RRC Polytech alumnus Chef Lorena Villalobos will work with you to improve your culinary skill levels, while applying knowledge immediately to group projects, and taking time to explore career opportunities.
